Chris Cormack:
"This photo was taken at the Portland Japanese Garden on November 3rd, 2006.

I had been going to the garden a few times a week during the fall color season to take photos - however, this was the first time I had tried to shoot the waterfall with leaves. Usually it is necessary to go early in the morning if you want to take pictures with lots of leaves on the ground or in the water because they seem to clean the water and ground around 9am. A friend of mine (Matt Fife) had tipped me off about a possible long exposure shot with the waterfall with leaves. One morning I got to the pond before it was cleaned - which allowed me to take the photo I wanted."
