From Mark:
My wife and I were driving through The Palouse region of Eastern Washington last 4th of July weekend, just north of Walla Walla. It was 6:30pm and the sun was getting low in the sky, enhancing the warm colors of the wheat and darkening the sky. We passed this church and I slammed on the brakes. "I think I see something," I told her, and we turned around. I set up the camera and made a single exposure...this one. The camera is a Canon 5D with my favorite 24-105mm Canon L lens. Exposure was 1/125th at f9, ISO 200, and I used a tripod and a polarizer filter. In PhotoShop, all I did was slightly increase the contrast and the color saturation.
